With summer
coming to an end, it’s almost time for autumn’s awful dry spell to hit. If you
want to counteract the looming seasonal dehydration, look no further, because I’ve
got you covered from head to toe.
Blistex Lip Medex
This is my
go-to lip balm whenever my lips are dry, chapped, or irritated. It’s one of the
best lip treatments in the world. It contains menthol which provides your lips
with an immediate relieving, cooling sensation.
Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque
This mask is
for dehydrated skin, not dry skin. If used after exfoliating, it penetrates
deep into pores very quickly, and provides skin with much needed moisture. It’s
like giving your skin a big glass of water. This mask is great for every skin
type, and will provide relief for even the most sensitive skin. You might also
want to consider getting a stronger overnight face moisturizer.
Joico K-Pak
Intense Hydrator
I have
bleached, and damaged my hair so many times throughout the years and Joico
K-Pak is one of the only lines that actually work on my hair. It replenishes,
and seals in moisture to dry and damaged hair. It also works as a great
detangler, making hair manageable, hydrated, and silky soft.
Vaseline
Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Lotion
This is a
rich moisturizer that smells amazing! It has a silky finish, which is great
because most deep conditioning lotions leave a sticky film afterwards that
takes forever to dry. It’s also a fairly long lasting product, I find that if
it’s applied once in the morning (or after a shower) and once before bed it
will provide moisture for the whole day. Also, it makes your left-over tan from
summer look deeper and so much better.
Professional Care
I would recommend
going in for a natural mani/pedi to remove all of the dead, dry skin cells that
summer left over. Another great professional remedy is a paraffin wax treatment
which will help you seal in moisture and soften skin.
